Today's prompt: The Guilty Pleasure Prompt in gazal style
I have tried to look away, not give in, just walk away,
I tell myself just be stubborn, stay strong, don't sway.
But then the irresistible aroma of spicy salsa kicks in,
Along with cheese, red bean and that lemony underpin.
That's when I know that Mexican is my guilty pleasure,
An unadulterated love so deep, it's hard to measure.
But it breaks my poor heart that this always happens
Despite my pure love, my avocado never ever ripens.
But Preeti here will never stop loving amazing Mexican food,
This unrequited avo love shall keep me company in solitude.
