Paradox or Oxymoron?

Okay. So there is this girl in my office. Normal, nothing special, in fact, I don't know her. Not even her name. All I know about her is that she exists! Not "exists", as in, I see her everyday even. "Exists", as in, I know she is there. Get it? The point, however, is that, there is some WEIRD connection between us. I mean it. A couple of months back she was wearing a shirt that I have in my cupboard too. I thought that was a meek coincidence. After all, with the NUMBER of brands available out there, who would have thought two people in the same office buy the exact same shirt, the exact same colour and the exact same size? I shirked off the incident.  And then it happened again! Last week, after MONTHS of searching, I found the dream shirt - A red checks shirt at Provogue, the perfect fit and perfect colours. Oh, I thought I had attained Moksh when I bought that shirt. I was waiting for an occasion to wear it, but what with all festivals falling on holidays, I

Going on 16..

So Celestial Rays passed on a pretty awesome tag that she created - The Things to learn in the near(or far) future’ tag. It sounds like an interesting experiment to write this down, because I am forever making plans in the air about what all I need to do. Maybe, just maybe, documenting it might inspire me to actually go ahead and do some of these things! :-D So my list: Guitar :Here's the deal. I have a Guitar, and I can play it. But, it's no fun playing a song and then watching others cluelessly guess what I played. And getting weird names of songs I have never even heard of. So, I want to learn playing a Guitar properly like a Pro, with Chords and all! Especially Eric Clapton's songs. Okay, that's too much, but I can try, right? Dance : Any form would do. Actually, any method of moving my hands and legs in a manner, even slightly reminiscent of a dance would do, considering how absolutely inept I am at this! Calligraphy : I have been doing Calligraphy for a long

DISGUSTED.

I am so disgusted and angry even as I am writing this, I know for a fact I will regret this post. But if I don't write this, I'll just start crying, which will look very odd in office. So.  I have never said this, in the 22 years of my life. I am saying this now. Do not come to Delhi. For the Commonwealth Games. Or ever. Coming from a die-hard Delhite, this is a huge deal. I feel stone-hearted saying this, but don't come to Delhi unless: Unless you want to look at infrastructure like subways and think to yourself how awesome they are, then go inside only to find them flooded with sewage water. And cross through that very sewage water to make it to the other side of the road, because the only other option you have is jumping over the very high divider on the main road, put up so as to dissuade pedestrians from using the main road to cross , instead of the superbly awesome sewage water filled subway. Of course, followed by reaching office, washing your legs thrice and still f

Of Temple Towns and Work!

'Ello! Howdie? How's life? All good? Hmmm? Yeah, I am okay too. Alive. And as you might have guessed, very busy (Hi DI ! ;))!  Don't even ask me what I was up to the last 2 weeks when I didn't blog at all. I'll tell you anyway. A surreal amalgamation of an important meeting, a presentation, work on weekends, the senior management of the company, work, more work, did I mention "The Presentation", re-work and more work. It was like the school Annual Day all over again! Oh and in the midst of all that, the one weekend when I could have taken a sigh, I went on a running, fleeting, blink and miss 2 days trip to Hyderabad. AND Tirupathi. Definitely a record of some sort!  Now that it's all over, I am free as my manager a bird. Like they say, "don't be sad that it ended, be ecstatic." Oh sorry, I don't think that's what they say. Never mind. I am this close to losing my sanity, so excusez moi. The irony and the biggest joke, however, is

To Work or Not to Work!

I love my job. Don't get me wrong. But, you know, there are a lot of other odd jobs that really enthuse me, that make me want to, well, you know, not quit my job, but well, urmmm, make me wonder what it would be like if I was doing that job. Get it? For instance: Construction Worker ! I am of course going by the assumption that being a construction worker only means rolling in the mud, and making tunnels in mounds of white sand. Or at least that was what I thought for some good 8 years of my life. The early 8 years, I mean.  Lift Operator at Select City Walk Mall . Really, really mean it. Have you ever wondered about the lives of these obscure "professionals"? I mean, imagine logging in to work, checking all mails and Blog updates on Reader, taking your first cup of coffee from the vending machine, and then, diligently taking your seat in the lift, pressing random buttons, going up and coming down, going up and coming down, going up and coming down ALL DAY LONG.
